Amanda has been in the beauty industry for 5 years. After graduating from Oxford Academy of Hair Design in January 2020, she immediately began her career at European Wax Center in February 2020. Since then, she has built a reputation as an esthetician who specializes in waxing and post-wax skin care, helping clients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

Her expertise extends beyond waxing—Amanda is also known for her eyebrow artistry, offering services like tinting and lamination. One of her favorite treatments to provide is vajacials, where she helps women regain confidence by targeting skin concerns in intimate areas.

What Amanda loves most about her work is the client experience—meeting new people, building bonds, and seeing the transformation in how her clients feel. She also enjoys keeping up with ever-changing eyebrow trends, bringing excitement and fresh techniques to her services.

As her own boss, Amanda takes the time to create a personal, customized experience for every client. She incorporates aftercare treatments to reduce redness, treat irritation, and address ingrown hairs or hyperpigmentation, ensuring better long-term results. Being independent also allows her the flexibility to balance her career with her favorite role—being a mom.

Amanda chose Obsidian Salon as her professional home because of its beautiful atmosphere and the opportunity to work alongside other talented women. Its convenient location in Bethel is an added bonus for her many local clients.

Clients know Amanda not only for her waxing skills, but also for her authenticity. Many are inspired by her openness about her journey as a mom and her son’s successful battle with cancer, now in remission. Her fun, silly content on social media is another way clients connect with her personality and find their way into her chair.

 

When she’s not in the salon, Amanda is with her family. Whether it’s kids’ sports, fishing trips, discovering new restaurants, or exploring amusement parks, she and her family are always outdoors and making memories together.
